Woodturning CAD Yoyo First Page >> << Prev Page First Page >> << Prev Page

Yoyo’s can be frustrating, because until it is completed there is no way of knowing how well it will work.

As well as the overall design. One also needs to think about the type of spinning, i.e. is it a fixed axle, Transaxle or incorporating bearings.  Do you want it to be responsive or non responsive.

There are lots of video’s on the Internet regarding yoyo design, and also making them on a lathe. But if you are just going to go ahead and try making one, try to get it balanced. By that I mean both sides of the yoyo should be the same weight and size. This is obviously easier if the yoyo is made in two halves, as each half can be simply weighed separately.
